In her upcoming solo exhibition at gallery twenty six, Ines Riess presents sculptural works alongside selected paintings. Her spatial pieces extend painting into three-dimensional form, engaging space as an active component of the work. They explore the essence of time – not the measurable kind marked by clocks, but time as a continuum inseparable from space itself.
By bringing painting into space, Riess is, in essence, painting time itself. Her visual language conveys change as continuity: dynamic, gestural, and ever in transformation.
