Moko Khachatryan, born in 1967 in Yerevan, is an Armenian painter whose work traverses the language of abstraction with both visceral lyricism and formal rigor. Born into the storied legacy of her father, the eminent painter Roudolf Khachatryan, she began painting at the age of two, immersed from the outset in a world of aesthetic inquiry and cultural dialogue. Her artistic journey was shaped by early studies under Henrik Igityan at the Esthetic Education Center, followed by formative years at the Terlemezian Fine Arts College and the Yerevan State Institute of Fine Arts.

Khachatryan’s oeuvre—rooted in the Armenian avant-garde while engaging in dialogue with broader postwar abstraction—has been showcased in solo and group exhibitions across Europe, the Middle East, and the United States. Her work has appeared at prestigious venues such as the Louvre’s Carrousel (Paris), the Cafesjian Center for the Arts (Yerevan), the Modern Art Museum of Yerevan, East Gallery (Moscow), and World Art Dubai. She has participated in landmark exhibitions including Selections of Armenian Contemporary Abstract Art and Reconsidering Nature, and has held personal exhibitions in Zurich, Beirut, Paris, and Moscow.

Her paintings—held in private and institutional collections across France, Germany, Italy, the United Kingdom, Czech Republic, Kuwait, and Armenia—balance intuitive gesture with architectural structure, often probing the emotional memory of form and color.

A member of the Moscow Artists Federation (UNESCO), Khachatryan continues to live and work between Yerevan and international cultural capitals, sustaining an active presence on the global art stage.
